The resources collected here reflect my journey and my ideas as they changed and developed over thirty years. It is wonderful to be able to look back to see how much change has occurred.

 

At the time change always seems to come too slowly and I am  always impatient.  Much work remains to be done to ensure strong communities, good supports and social justice for all.

 

Yet looking back I never would have dreamt back in the 1980's that I would see some of the changes I have seen in my lifetime: from the inclusion of many (not all) disabled children in schools, to the settlements of Maori claims, to the reduction in the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness, to the position of women.   - Ruth Gerzon
